Video content definitely blew up in 2020. Maybe it was due to the stay-at-home order or the rise of TikTok. Whatever it may be, video content is here to stay. In Hubspot’s 2020 report, they found that videos were the most used marketing content. It’s also the second most engaging content on social media.

Here’s come upcoming video trends to hop on in 2021:

1. Video Consumption

With social platforms, like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, upgrading their video capabilities, it’s likely that video consumption will continue to increase in the upcoming years.

2. Short Videos

With TikTok and Instagram Reels on the rise, it’s no surprise that short videos will continue to trend in 2021.

3. User-Generated Content

People are 184% more likely to purchase from a website after watching user-generated videos (Econsultancy, 2020). With the statistic, I’m sure user-generated videos will stay on the rise.

4. Virtual Events

In 2020, several in-person events were changed to online events. With remote events, people from all areas are able to attend. We can expect virtual events to continue in 2021.
